DESCRIPTION

When the engine switch is turned on (IG), power is supplied to the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly). This DTC is stored if IG power source voltage is not supplied to the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) when communication with other ECUs is established.

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Engine switch on (IG)

  2. When ECM communicates with main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via CAN communication, IG power supply voltage is not received for approximately 3 seconds.


  • Wire harness or connector

  • IG power source circuit

  • Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)

DTC stored An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • Before disconnecting connectors or fuses, turn the engine switch off and wait 20 seconds or more.

  • When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), operate the electric parking brake switch assembly as the parking brake indicator light (red) blinks when the engine switch is first turned on (IG).

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (IG STATUS / IG SWITCH)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC/EPB / Data List.

    6. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Disconnect the A41 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connectors.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    4. Turn the engine switch off.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
