FRONT WIPER RUBBER REPLACEMENT

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.


  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.


  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER BLADE LH (for Type A)

      *a Lock Button

      Push the lock button of the front wiper blade LH to release the lock.

    2. Remove the front wiper blade from the front wiper arm as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not lower the front wiper arm with the front wiper blade removed. The arm tip may damage the windshield surface.

  2. REMOVE WIPER RUBBER LH (for Type A)

      Pull the wiper rubber LH in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.

    2. Pull the front wiper rubber from the slit of the front wiper blade LH to remove it.

      Tech Tips

      The wiper rubber can be removed from either end of the front wiper blade LH.

  3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER BLADE LH (for Type B)

      Pull up the holder of the front wiper blade LH.

    2. Remove the front wiper blade LH from the front wiper arm LH as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not lower the front wiper arm with the front wiper blade removed. The arm tip may damage the windshield surface.

  4. REMOVE WIPER RUBBER LH (for Type B)

      Remove the wiper rubber LH with the 2 front wiper rubber backing plates from the front wiper blade LH.

    2. B008GZQ

      Remove the 2 front wiper rubber backing plates from the wiper rubber LH.

  5. INSTALL WIPER RUBBER LH (for Type A)

      *b Cap

      Install the front wiper rubber through the slit of the front wiper blade LH.

      Tech Tips

      The wiper rubber can be installed from either end of the front wiper blade LH.

    2. Pull the wiper rubber LH in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration so that it fits into the cap of the front front wiper blade LH.

      Note

      Make sure that the wiper rubber LH is fitted securely into the cap and cannot be removed.

  6. INSTALL FRONT WIPER BLADE LH (for Type A)

    1. Align the protrusion of the front wiper arm LH with the indentation of the front wiper blade LH and lower the front wiper arm LH.

    2. Slide the front wiper blade LH until the lock button is locked to install the front wiper blade LH.

      Note

      Make sure that the lock button locks so that it is installed securely.

  7. INSTALL WIPER RUBBER LH (for Type B)

      Install the 2 front wiper rubber backing plates to the wiper rubber LH.

      Note


      • Align the protrusions on the wiper rubber and the notches of the backing plates.

      • Align the curves of the backing plates and the windshield glass.

      Install the wiper rubber LH with the 2 front wiper rubber backing plates to the front wiper blade LH as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Push the wiper rubber and front wiper backing plates into the front wiper blade strongly to engage them securely.

  8. INSTALL FRONT WIPER BLADE LH (for Type B)

      Install the front wiper blade LH as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the holder of the front wiper blade LH.
