Tech Tips

Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the air fuel ratio sensor.


PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 2) (w/ Canister Pump Module)


    1. B008H7PC01
      *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor to the center exhaust pipe assembly.

      SST
      09224-00012
      Torque
      Specified tightening torque
      44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf)

      Note

      Do not damage the air fuel ratio sensor.

      Tech Tips


      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using SST (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.18 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.)): 37.7 N*m (384 kgf*cm, 28 ft.*lbf)

      • Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the air fuel ratio sensor.

    2. Attach the wire harness clamp.

    3. Pass the air fuel ratio sensor connector through the floor panel and attach the grommet.

    4. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

  2. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER LH (w/ Canister Pump Module)

  3. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Canister Pump Module)

  4. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 1)

      *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor to the exhaust manifold.

      Torque
      Specified tightening torque
      44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf)

      Note

      Do not damage the air fuel ratio sensor.

    2. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

    3. Attach the wire harness clamp.

  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

  9. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
