DESCRIPTION

After the ignition switch is turned off, the ECM performs nozzle vane plate soot removal control (current opening angle→fully opened→fully closed). Monitor the motor drive current value while these opening and closing operations are performed. If the value exceeds the threshold, it can be determined that movement is abnormal. If the system judges that abnormal movements have occurred twice, this DTC is stored and the go to service warning light illuminates the next time the ignition switch is turned to ON.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (P2263)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch ON and turn the GTS on.

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.


      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes

    4. Read DTCs.

      Result

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (ACTIVATE THE VN TURBO CLEANING)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch ON and turn the GTS on.

    3. Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature is 77°C (170°F) or higher with all the accessories switched off .

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Activate the VN Turbo Cleaning.

    5. Perform the Active Test.

      Tech Tips


      • VN turbo cleaning finishes 20 minutes after the speed increases.

      • If actions such as depressing the accelerator pedal or operating the shift lever are performed, cleaning control is stopped. If this occurs, it is necessary to perform the procedure again.

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER DISPLAY (WARNING DISPLAY)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30seconds.

    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.

    3. Check the combination meter assembly.

  4. REPLACE TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. CONFIRM WHETHER MALFUNCTION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY REPAIRED


    1. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30seconds.

    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.

    3. Check that the go to service warning light does not illuminate in the combination meter.

    4. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    5. Turn the GTS on.

    6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes / Clear.


      Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs

    7. Clear the DTC.
