POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM PRECAUTION
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.
When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal while performing repairs, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

PRECAUTION WHEN REPLACING MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.
As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), first perform the inspections in On-Vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) before performing this troubleshooting procedure.*
If the ECU-B NO.1 fuse (the main power source fuse of the main body ECU [multiplex network body ECU]) is removed with the door control battery charged, power will be supplied to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the door control battery for up to 30 minutes. At this time, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) will be able to function with the ECU-B NO.1 fuse (the main power source fuse of the main body ECU [multiplex network body ECU]) removed.*
