DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR(w/ GPF) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR

    1. B006CDYE01

      for Bank 1 side:

      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      3. Turn the GTS on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / GPF Differential Pressure Offset Bank 1.

Powertrain > Engine > Data List
        Tester Display
        GPF Differential Pressure Offset Bank1
      5. Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum transmitting hose assembly from the differential pressure sensor.

      6. Connect SST to the differential pressure sensor.

      7. Using SST, apply pressure to the differential pressure sensor.

        SST
        09992-00242
      8. Check the pressure value of the differential pressure sensor.

        Standard
        GTS Display Condition Specified Condition
GPF Differential Pressure Offset Bank 1 Engine switch on (IG)

When applying 20 kPa (2.9 psi): 20 kPa (2.9 psi)

When applying 40 kPa (5.8 psi): 40 kPa (5.8 psi)

        Note

Perform the inspection within the range of 0 to 98 kPa (0 to 1 kg/cm2, 0 to 14.2 psi).

If the result is not as specified, check the differential pressure sensor circuit.

      9. Disconnect SST from the differential pressure sensor.

      10. Connect the vacuum transmitting hose assembly to the differential pressure sensor and slide the clip to secure the hose.

    2. B006GNIE01

      for Bank 2 side:

      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      3. Turn the GTS on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / GPF Differential Pressure Offset Bank 2.
