VACUUM REGULATING VALVE (w/ EGR System with EGR Cooler) INSPECTION

Note

Do not remove the electric vacuum regulating valve.


  1. INSPECT ELECTRIC VACUUM REGULATING VALVE


    1. A01E2QHE01

      Measure the resistance of the electric vacuum regulating valve (E-VRV).

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      1 - 2 11 to 13 Ω at 20°C (68°F)

      1 - Body Ground

      2 - Body Ground

      		 10 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the electric EGR control valve assembly with E-VRV.

    2. A01DUX0E02

      Check operation of the E-VRV.


      1. When a vacuum of 66.7 kPa (500mmHg, 19.7 in.Hg) is applied to the port E, check that air flows from port F to the filter.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the electric EGR control valve assembly with E-VRV.

      2. A01DYIZE01

        Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2.

      3. Check that air flows from port F to port E.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the electric EGR control valve assembly with E-VRV.
