HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

  • Use the same procedure for the RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.

    2. Engage the grommet.

    3. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the clamps.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.

    2. Engage the grommet.

    3. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the clamps.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly to the hood lock control cable assembly.

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE HOLDER

      Engage the claw to install the hood lock control cable holder as shown in the illustration.

  5. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)


    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock assembly.

    2. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the hood lock assembly.

    3. Install the hood lock assembly with the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

  8. INSTALL HOOD LOCK NUT CAP

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE RETAINER

  11. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for TMC Made)

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  12. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for TMMT Made)


    1. for LHD:


      1. Install the front fender liner LH with the 7 clips and 2 screws.

  13. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH (for TMMT Made)


    1. for RHD:


      1. Install the front fender liner RH with the 6 clips and 2 screws.

  14. INSTALL ROCKER PANEL MOULDING LH
