With the luggage compartment door fully closed, hold the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key), press the luggage electrical key switch and check that the luggage compartment door opening operation begins.
Note
The "Trunk Link with Door Lock" item is set to "ON" using the GTS customization function. (The default setting is "ON")
When all the doors are unlocked, check that the luggage compartment door opens when the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key) is not being carried and the luggage electrical key switch is pressed.
Note
The "Trunk Link with Door Lock" item is set to "ON" using the GTS customization function. (The default setting is "ON")
With the luggage compartment door fully closed, press the luggage door opening switch of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key) and check that the luggage compartment door opening operation begins.
Check the power trunk lid closing operation
With the luggage compartment door fully opened, press the door control switch and the luggage compartment door closing operation begins.
Tech Tips
The closing operation cannot be performed with the luggage door opening switch assembly, the luggage electrical key switch or the luggage door opening switch of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key).
Check the manual luggage closer operation
Open the luggage compartment door.
Close the luggage compartment door to the point where it is slightly ajar and check that the closer motor of the luggage door closer assembly performs a closing operation and the luggage compartment door becomes fully closed.
Check the operation when another input is detected during closing and opening operations
During the power trunk lid opening operation, press the luggage door opening switch assembly, the luggage electrical key switch, the door control switch, or the luggage door opening switch of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key), and check that the luggage compartment door operation stops.
During the power trunk lid closing operation, press the luggage door opening switch assembly, the luggage electrical key switch, the door control switch, or the luggage door opening switch of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key), and check that the luggage compartment door reverses operation.
Check Jam Protection Function
Check the jam protection function when the luggage compartment door closing operation is being performed.
Press the door control switch to activate the luggage compartment door closing operation.
During the power trunk operation, use your hand to stop the closing operation (slow down the operation speed) and check that the operation reverses.
Tech Tips

Check Hands Free Power Trunk Lid Operation (w/ Hands Free Power Trunk Lid)
Note
This function operates when the "Kick Sensor Function" item is set to "ON" using the GTS customization function (The default setting is "ON").
This function operates when the "KICK SENSOR" item is set to "On" using the customization function via the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly (The default setting is "On").
With the engine switch off, the luggage door opening cancel switch assembly off (switch pressed in), and the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key) being carried, check that the power trunk lid operates when a kick operation is performed within 100 mm (3.94 in.) of the rear bumper surface.

*a | 100 mm (3.94 in.) | *b | Center of the rear bumper |
Tech Tips
The hands free power trunk lid detects a change in electrostatic capacitance in the detection area of the kick door control sensor (Operation trigger).
Placing your leg or a metallic object within 100 mm (3.94 in.) of the rear bumper surface and then moving it out of the detection area results in the hands free power trunk lid operating due to the door control sensor detecting a change in electrostatic capacitance.
The kick door control sensor receives ACC signals from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via LIN communication and uses the information to stop sensor oscillation.
