THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

Hold the rear of the No. 2 cylinder head cover and raise it to detach the 2 clips on the rear of the No. 2 cylinder head cover. Continue to raise the No. 2 cylinder head cover to detach the 2 clips on the front of the No. 2 cylinder head cover and remove the No. 2 cylinder head cover.
Note:Attempting to detach both front and rear clips at the same time may cause the No. 2 cylinder head cover to break.

REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
Detach the wire harness from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

Disconnect the 2 clamps.

Slide the clamp and disconnect the PCV hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
Lock the air cleaner cap sub-assembly hose clamp, and then remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.
Slide the 2 clamps and disconnect the water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose.

for Type A:
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly.
for Type B:
Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly.
Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
