The rear seat cushion heater cannot be removed as it is connected to the bench type rear seat cushion cover as a unit.
REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
Quickly lift up the front of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration to detach the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks.

Note
If the cushion is not lifted up quickly, the cushion frame will be damaged.
Choose a hook to detach first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then quickly lift the bench type seat cushion assembly to detach the hook.
Repeat the step above for the other hook.
Detach the 2 rear hooks of the bench type rear seat cushion assembly from the bench type rear seatback assembly.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Disconnect the 2 seat cushion heater connectors.
Remove the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK
Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks.
Note
Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
Remove the hog rings.
Pass the bench type rear seat cushion cover through the holes in the rear seat cushion pad.
Pass the rear seat cushion pad through the holes in the bench type rear seat cushion cover.
Pass the rear seat cushion heater wire harnesses through the holes in the bench type rear seat cushion cover.
Remove the hog rings and bench type rear seat cushion cover from the rear seat cushion pad.
