Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
Note
Wash brake fluid off immediately if it adheres to any painted surface.
REMOVE REAR WHEEL

The thread direction of the hub nuts for the LH side is opposite to that of the RH side.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
Remove the union bolt and 2 gaskets from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly and disconnect the flexible hose.
Remove the 2 bolts and rear disc brake cylinder assembly.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD
Remove the 2 brake pads with anti squeal shims.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE ANTI-SQUEAL SHIM
Remove the 4 rear disc brake anti-squeal shims from each pad.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD SUPPORT PLATE
Remove the 4 rear disc brake pad support plates from the rear disc brake cylinder mounting.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE PIN
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BUSHING DUST BOOT
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER MOUNTING
Remove the 4 bolts and cylinder mounting.
REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT

REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT OIL SEAL
(See Pub. No. RM1008E, page 30-75)
REMOVE REAR AXLE LOCK NUT PLATE
Remove the 3 bolts from the lock nut plate.
Remove the lock nut plate.
REMOVE REAR AXLE BEARING LOCK NUT
Using SST, remove the lock nut.
Remove the lock nut plate.
REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND DISC ASSEMBLY
Pull on the rear axle hub and disc assembly and remove the rear axle outer bearing.
Remove the rear axle hub and disc assembly.
Note
Be careful not to drop the outer bearing.
Be sure to securely hold the rear axle hub and disc assembly because it is heavy.
REMOVE REAR DISC
Place matchmarks on the disc and axle hub.
Remove the 6 bolts and separate the brake disc and axle hub.
REMOVE REAR SKID CONTROL ROTOR
Using a hexagon wrench (5 mm), remove the rear skid control rotor.
