DRIVING SUPPORT ECU REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the 2 claws as shown in the illustration and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

    3. Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the DLC3.

    4. Disconnect each connector and each wire harness clamp.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate LH.

    2. Using moulding remover D, detach the 4 clips.

    3. A01GNER

      Detach the 7 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the cowl side trim board LH.

  5. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    Note

    This accelerator pedal does not require lubrication.

    Do not apply oil or other lubrication to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

    If applied, the accelerator pedal sensor assembly must be replaced.


    1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts and accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

      Note


      • Avoid physical shocks to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

      • Do not disassemble the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 3 DASH PANEL INSULATOR PAD (for LHD)


    1. A01GJQ6

      Detach the clamp.

    2. Partially remove the floor carpet.

    3. A01GL9X

      Remove the No. 1 cooling unit packing and disconnect the No. 2 cooler unit drain hose.

    4. Remove the No. 3 dash panel insulator pad.

  7. REMOVE DASH PANEL EXTENSION LH

    1. for RHD:

      Partially remove the floor carpet.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the wire harness clamp.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts and bolt.

    4. Disconnect the connector and remove the dash panel extension LH and driving support ECU assembly as a unit.

  8. REMOVE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the nut and driving support ECU assembly.

      Note


      • Do not drop or subject the driving support ECU assembly to strong shocks.

      • During the removal and installation, do not remove the drip-proof cover.
