UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL DISASSEMBLY

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL DOOR (w/o Front Passenger Airbag)


    1. Remove the 2 screws <B>.

    2. Detach the 8 claws and 2 guides and remove the instrument panel door.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE OPENING PLATE (w/o Defroster)

    1. Detach the 6 claws and remove the No. 1 defroster nozzle opening plate.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 DEFROSTER NOZZLE OPENING PLATE (w/o Defroster)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 1 defroster nozzle opening plate.

  4. REMOVE METER MOUNTING BRACKET

    1. Remove the screw <B> and meter mounting bracket.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel register.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 instrument panel register.

  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL CUP HOLDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for both instrument panel cup holders.


    1. Remove the 3 screws <B> and instrument panel cup holder.

  8. REMOVE NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

    1. Remove the No. 4 instrument panel cushion.

  9. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

    1. Remove the No. 3 instrument panel cushion.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

    1. Remove the No. 2 instrument panel cushion.

  11. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR (w/ Automatic Light Control System)

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the automatic light control sensor.

  12. REMOVE LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH HOLE COVER (w/ Automatic Light Control System)

    1. Detach the 2 claws and guide and remove the light control switch hole cover.

  13. INSTALL COOLER (SOLAR SENSOR) THERMISTOR (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

    *1 Protective Tape
    *2 Cooler Thermistor (Solar Sensor)

    1. Put protective tape around the cooler thermistor (solar sensor).

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cooler thermistor (solar sensor).

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Disconnect the connector.
