    1. The transmission control switch is installed inside the shift lever assembly to detect the S mode position and inform the hybrid vehicle control ECU. The hybrid vehicle control ECU indicates the shift position indicator S in the combination meter assembly via CAN.

    2. The transmission control switch detects whether the shift lever is in D or S, detects whether the shift lever is moved to "+" (shift-up) or "-" (shift-down) when the S mode is selected, and sends signals to the hybrid vehicle control ECU. At this time, the hybrid vehicle control ECU indicates the selected shift range in the combination meter assembly via CAN.
