Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Align the claw with the adjuster positioning hole and install the adjuster with the 2 bolts.

      Tech Tips

      First install the lower bolt, and then install the upper bolt.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    Note


    • When installing the retractor, make sure the claws of the vehicle (labeled "a" in the illustration) only contact the installation areas of the retractor.

    • Align the seat belt positioning holes with the claws and install the retractor of the seat belt with the bolt as shown in the illustration.

      Install the seat belt with the 2 bolts.

      Tech Tips

      First install bolt A, and then install bolt B.

      Torque:
      for bolt A
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 30 in.*lbf }
      for bolt B
      41 N*m  { 418 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      w/o Pre-crash Safety System:

      Connect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      w/ Pre-crash Safety System:


      1. Connect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      2. Connect the connector.

    4. A004TGY

      Install the shoulder anchor to the shoulder belt anchor adjuster with the nut.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 418 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }
  3. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  5. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  6. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    Click here

  7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    Click here

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
