LIGHTING SYSTEM Engine Switch Illumination Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The illuminated entry system controls the engine switch illumination.

Note


  • Before replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), refer to the Service Bulletin.

  • Before performing the inspection, check that DTC B27B0 (Entry and Start System) is not output.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry&Start / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Entry&Start > Active Test

    1. Remove the engine switch.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE SWITCH - CERTIFICATION ECU [SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY])


    1. Disconnect the G81 engine switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the G69 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G81-9 (SWIL) - G69-19 (SWIL) Always Below 1 Ω
      G81-6 (AGND) - G69-24 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      G81-9 (SWIL) or G69-19 (SWIL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G81-6 (AGND) or G69-24 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
