C1787 Forward/Rearward/Sideways G Sensor Communication Error While the engine switch is on (IG), an airbag sensor assembly (acceleration sensor)*1 or yaw rate sensor (acceleration sensor)*2 malfunction signal is detected for 1 second or more.
  • CAN communication system

  • Absorber control ECU (rear acceleration sensor)

  • Airbag sensor assembly (acceleration sensor)*1

  • Yaw rate sensor (acceleration sensor)*2

Does not come on -

*1: for Optitron Meter Type

*2: for TFT Meter Type

Note


  • Before performing troubleshooting, inspect the connectors of related circuits.

  • If DTC C1782 (Power Source Voltage Malfunction) is output at the same time, perform troubleshooting for C1782 first.

  • Before replacing the absorber control ECU (rear acceleration sensor), perform all of the following:


    • Symptom simulation.

      Click here

    • DTC inspection.

      Click here

    • GTS inspection.

      Click here


      • If no malfunctions are found in other areas, replace the absorber control ECU (rear acceleration sensor).

  • When the absorber control ECU (rear acceleration sensor) is replaced, switch to test mode and check that all test mode DTCs are cleared when their respective deletion conditions are met.
