WASHER MOTOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    This check should be performed with the windshield washer motor and pump assembly installed to the windshield washer jar assembly.

      Component without harness connected

      (Windshield Washer Motor and Pump Assembly)

      Main Nozzle Side:


      1. Add washer fluid in the washer jar with the windshield washer motor and pump assembly installed to the washer jar.

      2. Check if the washer fluid is sprayed while the battery voltage is applied between the terminals of the connector.

        OK
        Battery Connection Specified Condition

        Terminal 1 - Battery positive (+)

        Terminal 2 - Battery negative (-)

        		 Washer fluid is pumped

        Tech Tips

        If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield washer motor and pump assembly.

      Component without harness connected

      (Windshield Washer Motor and Pump Assembly)

      Sub Nozzle Side:


      1. Add washer fluid in the washer jar with the windshield washer motor and pump assembly installed to the washer jar.

      2. Check if the washer fluid is sprayed while the battery voltage is applied between the terminals of the connector.

        OK
        Battery Connection Specified Condition

        Terminal 2 - Battery positive (+)

        Terminal 1 - Battery negative (-)

        		 Washer fluid is pumped

        Tech Tips

        If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield washer motor and pump assembly.
