FUEL PUMP(w/o Canister Pump Module) INSTALLATION

Tip:

Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the fuel pump.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL FUEL SUCTION TUBE ASSEMBLY WITH PUMP

    1. Install a new gasket to the fuel suction tube assembly with pump.

      Connect the fuel hose with the paint mark facing towards the top of the vehicle, and then secure the clip.

    3. Install the fuel suction tube assembly with pump into the fuel tank.

      Note:

      Do not damage the fuel suction tube assembly with pump.

  2. INSTALL FUEL TANK VENT TUBE SET PLATE

    1. Install the fuel tank vent tube set plate with the 8 bolts.

      6.0 N*m

      61 kgf*cm

      53 in.*lbf

  3. CONNECT FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. A124668

      Install the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly with the tube joint clip.

      Note:
      • A124131C01

        Check that there are no scratches or foreign objects on the connecting parts.

      • Check that the fuel tube joint is inserted securely.

      • Check that the tube joint clip is on the collar of the fuel tube joint.

      • After installing the tube joint clip, check that the fuel tube joint cannot be pulled off.

      • Be careful not to damage the tube joint clip. If the tube joint clip is damaged, replace it.

  4. CONNECT FUEL EMISSION HOSE

    1. Connect the No. 1 fuel evaporation tube sub-assembly and charcoal canister outlet tube sub-assembly to the fuel suction plate and slide the 2 clamps to secure the tubes.

      Tip:

      Make sure the direction of the hose clamps are as indicated in the illustration.

    2. Connect the fuel emission hose to the fuel suction plate.

      Note:
      • Before connecting the hose, check if there is any damage or foreign matter in the hose or connector.

      • Check that the connector is connected by pulling on it.

      Tip:

      Firmly push the tube connector until a "click" sound is heard.
