GENERATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

  6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

      Remove the terminal cap.

    2. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.

    3. Disconnect the generator assembly connector.

      Using an E12 "TORX" socket wrench, fully loosen the bolt (A).

    5. Using an E12 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the bolt (B).

      Remove in this Direction

      Remove the generator assembly together with the bolt (A) from the engine assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      There is not enough clearance to completely remove the bolt (A) from the generator assembly. Remove the generator assembly together with the bolt (A).

    7. Remove the bolt (A) from the generator assembly.
