DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly (sliding roof ECU) and sliding roof drive gear assembly (front roof sunshade ECU) stops for 10 seconds or more.

Note


  • When using the GTS with the engine switch off to troubleshoot:

    Connect the GTS to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • When the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly (sliding roof ECU) is removed and reinstalled or replaced, the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly (sliding roof ECU) must be initialized.

  • When the sliding roof drive gear assembly (front roof sunshade ECU) is removed and reinstalled or replaced, the sliding roof drive gear assembly (front roof sunshade ECU) must be initialized.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY [SLIDING ROOF ECU] - SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY [FRONT ROOF SUNSHADE ECU])


    1. Disconnect the N4 sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly (sliding roof ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the N32 sliding roof drive gear assembly (front roof sunshade ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N4-3 (MPX2) - N32-3 (MPX2) Always Below 1 Ω
      N4-3 (MPX2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY [FRONT ROOF SUNSHADE ECU] - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the N32 sliding roof drive gear assembly (front roof sunshade ECU) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N32-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N32-1 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

  5. CHECK SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY (FRONT ROOF SUNSHADE ECU)


    1. Temporarily replace the sliding roof drive gear assembly (front roof sunshade ECU) with a new or normally functioning one.
