VACUUM PUMP (for 5L-E) REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL OIL SEAL

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

  2. INSTALL O-RING


    1. Apply engine oil on a new O-ring and install the O-ring to the vacuum pump case.

  3. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP BEARING

      Using a press, press in a new bearing to the pump shaft.

  4. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP SHAFT


    1. Install the vacuum pump shaft and stop ring to the vacuum pump case.

  5. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP BLADE

      Apply engine oil to the rotor and 5 new vacuum pump blades.

    2. Install the rotor and pump blades with the round end facing outward.

    3. A01DY2M

      Install the end plate with the 2 screws.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 17 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP END COVER


    1. A01DVO0

      Install the end cover with the 4 screws.

      Torque:
      4.6 N*m  { 47 kgf*cm, 41 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY

      Using soft jaws, place the vacuum pump in a vise. Then install a new gasket and check valve.

      Torque:
      74 N*m  { 755 kgf*cm, 54 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP VACUUM HOSE UNION


    1. A01DZBWE01

      Using SST, hold the check valve, and install 2 new gaskets and the vacuum hose union with the union bolt.

      14 N*m  { 143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP PULLEY


    1. A01DZ1T

      Install the vacuum pump pulley with the pulley lock nut.

      Torque:
      105 N*m  { 1,075 kgf*cm, 78 ft.*lbf }
