FRONT SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:
  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

  • If the front speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the front axle hub bearing.

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. SEPARATE FRONT FENDER LINER

      Remove the 4 clips to separate the front fender liner.

      Screw

      Remove the 2 screws and 3 bolts to separate the front fender liner.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR

    1. C302676

      Disconnect the front speed sensor connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 sensor clamps.

    3. C302677

      Disengage the 2 grommets from the 2 sensor brackets.

    4. C302679

      Remove the bolt and front speed sensor from the steering knuckle.

      Note:
      • Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the front speed sensor tip.

      • Clean the speed sensor installation hole and the contact surfaces every time the front speed sensor is removed.
