OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER

   1. Apply Toyota Genuine CVT Fluid FE to 2 new O-rings.

   2. Install the 2 O-rings to the transmission oil cooler.

   3. Install the transmission oil cooler to the transaxle case with the 3 bolts.

      21 N*m

      214 kgf*cm

      15 ft.*lbf

2. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

   1. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the transmission oil cooler and slide the 2 clips to secure it.

      Note:

      Fully insert the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the 2nd rib on each oil cooler pipe.

3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for 1ZR-FAE)

4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for 8NR-FTS)

5. ADD CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for 1ZR-FAE)

7. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for 8NR-FTS)

8. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK

9. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (for 1ZR-FAE)

10. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (for 8NR-FTS)
