MAINTENANCE PRECAUTION
If the turbocharger sub-assembly is found to be defective, it must be replaced. Make sure to identify the cause of the problem including the conditions under which the turbocharger sub-assembly was used. Repair or replace the following as necessary:
Engine oil (level and quality)
Oil lines leading to the turbocharger sub-assembly
Be careful when removing and reinstalling the turbocharger sub-assembly. Do not drop, strike, or grasp easily-deformed components.
Note:-
Do not hold the turbocharger sub-assembly by the waste gate valve actuator rod.

When storing the turbocharger sub-assembly, do not place it with the waste gate valve actuator facing down.
Make sure foreign matter does not enter the intake and exhaust ports or oil passage.

If replacing the turbocharger sub-assembly, check for deposits in the inlet turbo oil pipe sub-assembly. If necessary, replace the inlet turbo oil pipe sub-assembly.

If replacing the turbocharger sub-assembly, add 20 cc (1.2 cu. in.) of new engine oil to the turbocharger oil inlet hole and turn the turbine wheel by hand to lubricate the bearings.
