KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

   1. 

      Connect the connector.

      Note:

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

   2. Attach the 6 claws to install the instrument panel airbag.

   3. Install the 4 bolts.

      10 N*m

      102 kgf*cm

      7 ft.*lbf

2. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER

3. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE

4. INSTALL NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE

5. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (for Manual Transaxle)

6. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (except Manual Transaxle)

7. INSTALL SHIFTING HOLE COVER (for Manual Transaxle)

8. INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY (except Manual Transaxle)

9. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

10. INSTALL STEREO OPENING COVER WITH BRACKET (w/o Audio)

11. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Audio)

12. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Audio)

    1. for Radio Receiver Type:

    2. for Radio and Display Type:

13. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

17. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

18. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

    1. Check the SRS warning light (Click here).
