VACUUM PUMP(for 1ZR-FAE, 2ZR-FAE) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY

   1. Apply engine oil to 2 new O-rings.

   2. 

      Install the 2 O-rings to the vacuum pump.

   3. 

      Apply engine oil to the cylinder hollow.

   4. 

      Install the vacuum pump so that the coupling teeth of the vacuum pump (labeled A) and the grooves of the camshaft (labeled B) engage.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the O-ring.

   5. 

      Install the vacuum pump with the 3 bolts.

      21 N*m

      214 kgf*cm

      15 ft.*lbf

      Note:

      Confirm that the vacuum pump is not at an angle, and that there is no clearance between the fitting surfaces.

2. CONNECT UNION TO CONNECTOR TUBE HOSE

   1. 

      Connect the hose with the clip.

      Note:

      Make sure that the clip and paint mark are facing upward when connecting the hose.

3. INSTALL ENGINE WIRE (for 1ZR-FAE)

4. INSTALL ENGINE WIRE (for 2ZR-FAE)

5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 1ZR-FAE)

6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FAE)

7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 1ZR-FAE)

8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FAE)

9. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER (for 1ZR-FAE)

10. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER (for 2ZR-FAE)

11. INSPECT VACUUM PUMP OPERATION
