POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Only Back Door cannot be Opened

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives signals from the back door opener switch assembly. Then, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) activates the back door lock motor.

  1. SYSTEM CHECK


    1. Check the vehicle specification.

  2. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION (BASIC FUNCTION)


    1. Check the power door lock basic function Click here.

      The power door lock basic functions operate normally.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (DOOR LOCK STATUS)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  6. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the back door lock assembly Click here.

    2. Check the operation of the door lock motor.


      1. Move the door lock to the lock position.

      2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the door lock motor and check the operation of the door lock motor.

        OK
        Connection Result

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (ACT+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (ACT-)

    3. Check the operation of the door courtesy switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      V11-2 (ACT+) - 2D-9 (TR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      V11-2 (ACT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      V11-3 (D+) - L7-19 (BCTY) Always Below 1 Ω

      V11-1 (ACT-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
