REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Bench Seat Type) REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  4. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK COVER

    1. Temporarily install the bench type rear seatback cover to the bench type rear seatback pad.

    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the bench type rear seatback cover to the bench type rear seatback pad with 22 new hog rings.

      Note:

      • Be careful not to damage the bench type rear seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the bench type rear seatback cover.

  6. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

      Install the bench type rear seatback cover with pad to the rear seatback frame sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

    2. Engage the 11 hooks.

    3. Engage the 8 claws to install the 4 rear seat headrest supports.

  7. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER COVER LH

  8. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER COVER RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER

    1. Temporarily install the bench type rear seat cushion cover to the rear seat cushion pad.

    2. Using hog ring pliers, install 16 new hog rings.

      Note:

      • Be careful not to damage the bench type rear seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the bench type rear seat cushion cover.

    3. Using hog ring pliers, install the bench type rear seat cushion cover to the rear seat cushion pad with 35 new hog rings.

      Note:

      • Be careful not to damage the bench type rear seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the bench type rear seat cushion cover.
