ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (for LHD with Entry and Start System)

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (except Sedan)

  4. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (except Sedan)

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 METER HOOD CLUSTER (except Sedan)

  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (except Sedan)

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE (except Sedan)

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Sedan)

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Sedan)

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Sedan)

  11. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Sedan)

  12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (for Sedan)

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE (for Sedan)

  14. REMOVE COOLER (ROOM TEMP. SENSOR) THERMISTOR

    1. E265740

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. E265741

      Disconnect the connector and aspirator to remove the cooler (room temp. sensor) thermistor.
