INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • When using the GTS with the engine switch off, connect the GTS to the DLC3 and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the GTS and the vehicle begins. Then select Model Code "KEY REGIST" under manual mode and enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry & Start (CAN). While using the GTS, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the GTS and the vehicle.

  • Before replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry & Start / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - CERTIFICATION ECU [SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY] AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the B75 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the H20 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H20-29 (LP) - B75-15 (IND) Always Below 1 Ω
      H20-29 (LP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B75-15 (IND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H20-21 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Connect the B75 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Check for pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.
