HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY(except Sedan) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure described below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION (for HID Headlight)

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (for HID Headlight)

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE (for 1AD-FTV, 1ND-TV)

    1. E264541

      Remove the 5 clips and No. 2 radiator air guide.

  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    The headlight light control ECU sub-assembly may be hot when the light control switch is in the HEAD position or right after it is turned off. Check that the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly is not hot before starting work. (for HID Headlight)

      Remove the screw and 2 bolts.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. E256941

      Disengage the claw to separate the headlight assembly as shown in the illustration.

    4. for Halogen Headlight:

      1. E256946

        Disengage the 2 clamps.

      2. Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the headlight assembly.

    5. for HID Headlight:

      1. E256942

        Disengage the clamp.

      2. Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the headlight assembly.
