POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION


    1. The power door lock control system has the following functions:

      Function Outline
      One-motion Open (Driver and Front Passenger Side)*1 When the door is locked, this function enables the door to be unlocked by merely pulling the inside handle lever of the door.
      One-motion Open (Driver Side)*2
      Key-linked Lock This function, which is linked with the key cylinder, can lock all the doors when a lock operation is performed.
      2-step Unlock This function is provided to unlock the driver door when the mechanical key is turned in the key cylinder the first time, and to unlock the remaining doors within 5 seconds when it is turned the second time.
      Pressing the unlock button of the door control transmitter assembly*3 or the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly*4 twice within 5 seconds unlocks all doors after it first unlocks the driver's door.
      Manual Unlock Prohibition Function When the doors are all closed and are locked using a key-linked operation, wireless key operation or entry lock operation, unlocking the vehicle using the door control switch is prohibited.
      Key Confinement Prevention When the door control transmitter assembly is in the ignition or starter switch assembly*3 or the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is present in the interior detection area*4, and a door lock operation is performed while the driver door is open, all the doors will be unlocked.
      Collision Door Lock Release If the SRS airbag system has been deployed, and the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) has detected the signal that is output by the airbag ECU assembly, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) unlocks all the doors.
      Speed Sensitive Automatic Door Lock

      When all of the following conditions are met, this function causes all the doors to be automatically locked.


      • The vehicle speed is higher than approximately 20 km/h (12 mph).

      • All doors are closed.

      • Any one of the doors is in an unlocked state.

      Shift-linked Automatic Door Lock

      When the conditions listed below are met consecutively, this function causes all the doors to be automatically locked.


      • The ignition switch is turned from off or ACC to ON.

      • The engine is started.

      • All doors are closed.

      • The shift lever is moved from P to R, N, D or S.

      • Any one of the doors is in an unlocked state.

      Shift-linked Automatic Door Unlock

      When the ignition switch is turned ON, and the shift lever is moved to P, all the doors will be automatically unlocked.


      • All doors are closed.

      • Any one of the doors is in an unlocked state.

      Driver Door Opening-linked Automatic Door Unlock All doors are automatically unlocked when the driver door is opened within 30 seconds of the ignition switch being turned from ON to ACC or off.
      Customization The on or off setting of some functions and settings can be performed using the Techstream or multi-display assembly. In addition, some functions are not available depending on the specification. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
