The skid control ECU sends signals, such as cruise control cancel demand signals and brake operation demand response signals, to the ECM when the dynamic radar cruise control system is in operation.

Communication Error from VSC to ECM

While the vehicle speed is 50 km/h (30 mph) or more with the cruise control switch on, the skid control ECU is logically inconsistent for 0.5 seconds or more.

  • Master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU)

  • ECM

Note:

When the ECM is replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed (Click here).

PROCEDURE

  1. REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID (SKID CONTROL ECU)

    1. Replace the master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU)

  2. CHECK FOR DTC

    1. Clear the DTCs

      Click here

      Powertrain > Radar Cruise > Clear DTCs

    2. Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tip:

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) or more.

      2. Turn the cruise control switch on.

    3. Check for DTCs
