PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DISC

   1. 

      Check that the disc is not deformed or cracked.

   Result

   Proceed to
   No deformation or cracks on the disc
   Deformation or cracks on the disc

   Deformation or cracks on the disc

   CHANGE DISC

   No deformation or cracks on the disc

2. CLEAN DISC AND RECHECK

   1. 

      If dirt is on the disc surface, wipe it clean with a soft cloth from the inside to the outside in a radial direction.

      Note:

      Do not use a conventional record cleaner or anti-static preservative.

   Result

   Proceed to
   Malfunction disappears
   Malfunction does not disappear

   Malfunction disappears

   END (DISC WAS DIRTY)

   Malfunction does not disappear

3. REPLACE DISC AND RECHECK

   1. Replace the disc with a known good one.

   2. Check that the malfunction disappears.

   Malfunction disappears

   END (DISC IS DEFECTIVE)

   Malfunction does not disappear

4. CHECK NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY

   1. Check the navigation ECU sub-assembly installation condition.

      1. Check that the navigation ECU sub-assembly is properly installed.

   Result

   The navigation ECU sub-assembly is not properly installed
