BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL LOWER BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH

   1. Attach the 2 claws to install the lower back door outside garnish.

   2. Install the 6 screws.

2. INSTALL NO. 2 BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH

   1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 back door outside garnish.

   2. Install the 8 screws.

3. INSTALL BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH PROTECTOR

   Tip:

   When installing the back door outside garnish protector, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface using a heat light.

   Standard

   Item	Temperature
   Back Door Outside Garnish Sub-assembly	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   Note:

   Do not heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly excessively.

   1. For upper side:

      1. Clean the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

         1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

         2. Remove the double-sided tape from the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

         3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      2. 

         Install a new back door outside garnish protector.

         1. Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new back door outside garnish protector.

            Tip:

            After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

         2. Install the back door outside garnish protector as shown in the illustration.

            Tip:

            Press the back door outside garnish protector firmly to install it.

   2. For left and right side:

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure for both back door outside garnish protectors.

      1. Clean the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

         1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

         2. Remove the double-sided tape from the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

         3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      2. 

         Install a new back door outside garnish protector.

         1. Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new back door outside garnish protector.

            Tip:

            After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

         2. Install the back door outside garnish protector as shown in the illustration.

            Press the back door outside garnish protector firmly to install it.

   3. For lower side:

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure for both back door outside garnish protectors.

      1. Clean the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

         1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

         2. Remove the double-sided tape from the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

         3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      2. 

         Install a new back door outside garnish protector.

         1. Using a heat light, heat a new back door outside garnish protector and the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

         2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the back door outside garnish protector.

            Tip:

            After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

         3. Install the back door outside garnish protector as shown in the illustration.

            Tip:

            Press the back door outside garnish protector firmly to install it.

4. INSTALL NO. 1 BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER

   1. Install the No. 1 back door garnish retainer with the 3 screws.

5. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
