FRONT BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SPOILER RETAINER LH (for Sport Package)

      Slide the front spoiler retainer LH as shown in the illustration to install it.

      Tech Tips

      A004J5BE01

      Align the front spoiler retainer LH in the position shown in the installation.

    2. A004JOK

      Install the 2 screws.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT SPOILER RETAINER RH (for Sport Package)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SPOILER COVER LH (for Sport Package)


    1. Clean the front bumper cover surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install the front spoiler cover LH.


      1. Apply primer to the front spoiler cover LH attachment surface of the front bumper cover.

      2. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover and the front spoiler cover LH.

      3. Remove the peeling paper from the front spoiler cover LH.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        Engage the claw and install the front spoiler cover LH.

      5. A004JK7

        Apply thorough pressure to the sections with double-sided tape.

      6. Install the clip.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SPOILER COVER RH (for Sport Package)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SPOILER COVER (for Sport Package)


    1. Clean the front bumper cover surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install the front spoiler cover.


      1. Apply primer to the front spoiler cover attachment surface of the front bumper cover.

      2. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover and the front spoiler cover.

      3. Remove the peeling paper from the front spoiler cover.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        Engage the 8 claws and install the front spoiler cover.

        Apply thorough pressure to the sections with double-sided tape.

      6. Install the 3 clips.

      Engage the 4 claws to install the front bumper hole cover.

      Install the front bumper hole cover LH with the 3 screws.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

  14. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE

      Engage the 20 claws to install the No. 1 lower radiator grille.

  16. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM

  17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Install the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      32 N*m  { 326 kgf*cm, 24 ft.*lbf }

  18. INSTALL LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (for China)

  20. INSTALL RADIATOR COVER PLATE

      Install the radiator cover plate with the 6 clips.

  21. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER


    1. A004JHV

      Install the front bumper energy absorber.

  22. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER STAY BRACKET


    1. A004H07

      Install the front bumper stay bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  23. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER COVER


    1. A004KXD

      Install the front lower bumper cover with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the 4 clips.

  24. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT PLATE LH


    1. A004H4C

      Install the front bumper reinforcement plate LH with the 2 clips.

  25. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT PLATE RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  26. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

      Engage the 2 claws.

      Install the No. 2 front bumper side support LH with the screw.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

  27. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  28. INSTALL HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL

      Install the hood to front end panel seal to the front bumper upper retainer with the 13 clips.
