FRONT AIR CONDITIONING UNIT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY

   1. Attach the 2 claws to install the instrument panel reinforcement assembly.

   2. Install the 5 bolts.

      9.8 N*m

      100 kgf*cm

      87 in.*lbf

2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING UNIT ASSEMBLY

   1. Temporarily install the instrument panel reinforcement assembly with air conditioning unit assembly with the 2 bolts.

   2. Using a 8 mm hexagon wrench, tighten the 2 collars.

      27 N*m

      275 kgf*cm

      20 ft.*lbf

   3. Using a T40 "TORX" socket, install the 5 "TORX" bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      27 N*m

      275 kgf*cm

      20 ft.*lbf

   4. Tighten the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      for bolt A

      20 N*m

      204 kgf*cm

      14 ft.*lbf

   5. Install the 5 caps.

   6. Attach the clamps and connect the connectors to the wire harness.

      

   7. Install the wire harness with the 6 bolts and 7 nuts.

      

3. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

   1. Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 1 air duct sub-assembly.

4. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

   1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 air duct sub-assembly.

   2. Install the screw.

5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACE MOUNTING BRACKET LH

   1. Install the No. 1 instrument panel brace mounting bracket LH with the 2 nuts and bolt.

6. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACE MOUNTING BRACKET RH

   1. Install the No. 1 instrument panel brace mounting bracket RH with the 2 nuts and bolt.

7. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (for Single Air Conditioning System)

   1. Install the No. 1 console box duct with the clip.

8. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 AIR DUCT

   1. Attach the 6 claws and 3 clamps to install the rear No. 3 air duct.

9. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 AIR DUCT

   1. Attach the 6 claws and 3 clamps to install the rear No. 1 air duct.

10. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the front floor carpet assembly.

11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

14. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

15. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

16. CONNECT HEATER WATER INLET HOSE AND OUTLET HOSE

    1. Connect the 2 heater water hoses.

    2. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clips and slide the 2 clips.

17. CONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the grommet.

    2. 

       *a	CORRECT
       *b	INCORRECT

       Connect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly with the piping clamp.

       Note:

       After the connection, check that the claw of the piping clamp is attached.

18. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

19. CHARGE REFRIGERANT

20. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    1. for 1UR-FE:

21. WARM UP ENGINE

22. CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAK

23. CHECK FOR REFRIGERANT GAS LEAK
