PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

2. REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

3. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Package Tray Trim)

4. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT ASSEMBLY

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

   Click here

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

   Click here

7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for 3 Door)

   Click here

8. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for 5 Door)

   Click here

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for 3 Door)

10. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for 3 Door)

    Click here

11. DISCONNECT NO. 1 REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for 5 Door)

12. DISCONNECT NO. 1 REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for 3 Door)

13. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (for 5 Door)

14. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH (for 3 Door)

15. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH COVER LH (w/o Luggage Compartment Room Light)

16. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Luggage Compartment Room Light)

17. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH END COVER LH (for 3 Door)

18. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH (for 5 Door)

20. REMOVE REAR LIGHT COVER

    1. 

       Disengage the 6 claws to remove the rear light cover.

21. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

22. REMOVE BACK DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. 

       Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the grommet.

    2. 

       Disengage the grommet.

    3. 

       Remove the 4 bolts.

    4. Disengage the 2 clips to remove the back door panel sub-assembly.

    5. Remove the 2 grommets.

23. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

24. REMOVE BACK WINDOW LOCK STRIKER ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)

25. REMOVE BACK WINDOW LOCK STRIKER ASSEMBLY (w/ Entry and Start System)

    1. 

       Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the back window lock striker assembly and glass hatch opener switch assembly.

26. REMOVE NO. 3 INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Entry and Start System)

27. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

28. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

29. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY COVER LH

    Click here

30. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY COVER RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

31. REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS

    1. 

       Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the No. 1 back door wire.

    3. 

       Remove the 2 nuts and back door glass.

       Note:

       To prevent damage, when removing the back door glass, make sure that there are enough people available to hold it securely.

32. REMOVE BACK DOOR HINGE COLLAR

    1. 

       *A	Back Side
       	Double-sided Tape

       Separate the double-sided tape to remove the back door hinge collar.

       Tip:

       Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

33. REMOVE BACK WINDOW GLASS CLIP

    1. 

       *A	Back Side
       	Double-sided Tape

       Separate the double-sided tape to remove the back window glass clip.

       Tip:

       Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

34. REMOVE NO. 2 WIRING HARNESS PROTECTOR COVER

    1. 

       *A

       Back Side

       Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 2 wiring harness protector cover.

35. REMOVE NO. 1 WIRING HARNESS PROTECTOR COVER

    1. 

       *A

       Back Side

       Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 1 wiring harness protector cover.

36. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR WIRE

    1. 

       *A

       Back Side

       Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the No. 1 back door wire.

37. REMOVE NO. 4 WIRING HARNESS PROTECTOR

    1. 

       *A	Back Side
       	Double-sided Tape

       Separate the double-sided tape to remove the No. 4 wiring harness protector.

38. REMOVE NO. 3 WIRING HARNESS PROTECTOR

    1. 

       *A	Back Side
       	Double-sided Tape

       Separate the double-sided tape to remove the No. 3 wiring harness protector.

39. REMOVE BACK DOOR HINGE RETAINER

    1. 

       *A

       Back Side

       Remove the bolt, back door hinge retainer and bush.

       Tip:

       Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
