DRIVE BELT REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
PRECAUTION (w/o Air Conditioning System)
Note:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/o Air Conditioning System)
Note:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Air Conditioning System)
REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (w/o Air Conditioning System)

Remove the terminal cap.
Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.
Disconnect the generator assembly connector.
Loosen the bolt (A).

Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps from the washer jar assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts.
Move the washer jar assembly and remove the bolt (B).

Slide the generator assembly as shown in the illustration.
Remove the fan and generator V belt.

REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT (w/ Air Conditioning System)

4 mm Bi-hexagon Wrench

Attach a wrench to the hexagonal portion (A) of the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly as shown in the illustration.
Rotate the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly counterclockwise to align the 2 holes, and then insert a 4 mm bi-hexagon wrench into both holes to secure the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.
Remove the fan and generator V belt from the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.
