Rear Seat Belt Warning Light Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly detects whether either front door*1, rear door*2 or back door*2 is open or closed based on the condition of the left and right courtesy light switches. The combination meter assembly also detects the rear seat belt state. The rear seat belt warning lights on the telltale light assembly illuminate or turn off in accordance with the state of each front door*1, rear door*2 or back door*2, vehicle speed and rear seat belt state.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

PROCEDURE

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
