AUXILIARY BATTERY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL AUXILIARY BATTERY

   1. Install the auxiliary battery.

   2. Install the battery insulator to the auxiliary battery.

   3. Install the L-shaped pipe section to the auxiliary battery without twisting the battery hose.

      Tip:

      Insert the auxiliary battery hose all the way into the auxiliary battery.

   4. Install the battery clamp sub-assembly to the auxiliary battery.

      1.

         for Type A:

         Install the battery clamp sub-assembly to the auxiliary battery with the bolt and 3 nuts.

         for bolt

         16.5 N*m

         168 kgf*cm

         12 ft.*lbf

         for nut

         4.9 N*m

         50 kgf*cm

         43 in.*lbf

      2. 

         	Nut
         	Bolt

         for Type B:

         Install the battery clamp sub-assembly to the auxiliary battery with the bolt and nut.

         for bolt

         16.5 N*m

         168 kgf*cm

         12 ft.*lbf

         for nut

         4.9 N*m

         50 kgf*cm

         43 in.*lbf

   5. Connect the cable to the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.

      5.4 N*m

      55 kgf*cm

      48 in.*lbf

   6. Attach the 2 claws to close the auxiliary battery terminal cap.

   7. Attach the 2 clamps.

2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

   Note:

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
