FRONT DOOR DISASSEMBLY
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.

PRECAUTION
Note:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

Protective Tape
Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the front door window regulator handle shaft snap ring.
Remove the front door window regulator handle assembly and front door window regulator handle shaft snap ring.

REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side with Power Window)

Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips, 3 claws and 3 guides as shown in the illustration.
Disconnect the connector to remove the power window regulator master switch assembly with front door upper armrest base panel.

REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side with Power Window)

Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips, 3 claws and 3 guides as shown in the illustration.
Disconnect the connector to remove the power window regulator switch assembly with front door upper armrest base panel.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM COVER

Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws and 2 guides to remove the front door trim cover.
-
REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH (w/o Mirror Heater)
-
Disengage the 3 clips to remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH (w/ Mirror Heater)
-
Disengage the clip and 7 claws to remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
-

Protective Tape
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and open the cover.

for 3 Door:
Remove the 3 screws.
for 5 Door:
-
Remove the 2 screws.
-

for 3 Door:
Disengage the 14 clips as shown in the illustration.
for 5 Door:
-
Disengage the 11 clips as shown in the illustration.
-

Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable assembly and front door inside locking cable assembly as shown in the illustration to remove the front door trim board sub-assembly.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
-
Disengage the 4 guides to remove the front door inside handle sub-assembly.
-
REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP ASSEMBLY
-
Remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip assembly.
-
REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY WITH COVER
REMOVE NO. 1 DOOR TRIM BRACKET (w/ Mirror Heater)
-
Disengage the 2 clips to remove the No. 1 door trim bracket.
-
REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
-
Remove the front door service hole cover.
Tip:Remove any remaining butyl tape from the front door panel.
-
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)
Temporarily install the front door window regulator handle assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
Remove the front door window regulator handle assembly.

Remove the 2 bolts.
Note:After the bolts are removed, do not allow the front door glass sub-assembly to fall.

Remove the front door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.
Note:Do not damage the front door glass sub-assembly.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
for Driver Side:
Connect the power window regulator master switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
for Front Passenger Side:
Connect the power window regulator switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
for Driver Side:
Disconnect the power window regulator master switch assembly.
for Front Passenger Side:
Disconnect the power window regulator switch assembly.

Remove the 2 bolts.
Note:After the bolts are removed, do not allow the front door glass sub-assembly to fall.

Remove the front door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.
Note:Do not damage the front door glass sub-assembly.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

Remove the 6 bolts and front door window regulator assembly.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)
-
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 6 bolts and front door window regulator assembly.
-
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN
-
Remove the front door glass run.
-
REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
-
Remove the bolt.
Disengage the guide and remove the front door front lower frame sub-assembly.
-
REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
-
Remove the bolt.
Disengage the guide and remove the front door rear lower frame sub-assembly.
-
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER WITH LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)
-
Remove the hole plug.
-
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover with lock cylinder assembly.
Tip:The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER WITH LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)
w/ Lock Cylinder:
Tip:Use the same procedures as for the driver side.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Driver Side)

Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and guide to remove the front door outside handle cover as shown in the illustration.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Front Passenger Side)
w/o Lock Cylinder:
-
Remove the hole plug.
-
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover.
Tip:The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

w/ Lock Cylinder:
Tip:Use the same procedure as for the driver side.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
w/ Entry and Start System:

Disconnect the connector.
-

Remove the front door outside handle assembly as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
-
Disengage the 2 claws and guide to remove the front door front outside handle pad.
-
REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
-
Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front door rear outside handle pad.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw.
Tip:The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
Disengage the 2 claws (A).
Slide the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly to disengage the claw (B) of the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly, and then remove it.
w/ Entry and Start System:

Disengage the 3 clamps.
-

REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD
-
Remove the front door lock open rod as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
-
Remove the 3 bolts and front door check assembly.
-
REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)
REMOVE FRONT DOOR DUST PROOF SEAL
-
Disengage the 4 claws to remove the 4 front door dust proof seals.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL CUSHION

Disengage the claw and remove the front door panel cushion.

REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION
for 3 Door:

Double-sided Tape
Remove the 2 bolts.
Disengage the 2 guides.
Separate the double-sided tape to remove the No. 2 front door stiffener cushion.

for 5 Door:
-

Double-sided Tape
Remove the 2 bolts.
Disengage the 2 guides.
Separate the double-sided tape to remove the No. 2 front door stiffener cushion.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP
REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE (w/ Black Out Tape)
