MULTI-MODE MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE

  1. DRAIN MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL

    1. C303525

      Remove the filler plug and gasket.

    2. C303526

      Remove the drain plug and gasket to drain the manual transaxle oil.

    3. Install the drain plug and a new gasket.

  2. ADD MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL

    1. D025304C02

      *a

      0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.)

      Add manual transaxle oil until the oil level is between 0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the filler plug opening.

      "TOYOTA Genuine Manual Transmission Gear Oil LV" or "API GL-4 and SAE 75W"

      Standard Capacity

      1.7 liters (1.8 US qts, 1.5 Imp. qts)

    2. Install the filler plug and a new gasket.

      Note:

      • When adding manual transaxle oil, make sure that the vehicle is level.

      • An excessively large or small amount of manual transaxle oil may cause problems.

      • After adding manual transaxle oil, drive the vehicle and recheck the oil level.

  3. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
