MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH MANUAL TRANSAXLE

  2. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET

      Remove the 3 bolts and front engine mounting bracket.

  4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET

      Remove the 4 bolts and rear engine mounting bracket.

  5. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH

    Tip:

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine mounting bracket LH is necessary.

      Remove the 4 bolts and engine mounting bracket LH from the manual transaxle assembly.

  6. REMOVE OIL PAN INSULATOR

  7. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE LH

    Click hereClick here

  8. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE RH

    Click hereClick here

  9. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 5 bolts.

    2. Separate and remove the manual transaxle assembly from the engine.

  10. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

  11. REMOVE TRANSFER AND TRANSAXLE SETTING STUD BOLT

    1. C299941

      Remove the 2 transfer and transaxle setting stud bolts.

      Tip:

      It is not necessary to remove the transfer and transaxle setting stud bolts unless they are being replaced.
