EGR VALVE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE EGR VALVE BRACKET

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and 2 wire harness clamps.

      Remove the 3 bolts and 2 EGR valve brackets.

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 7 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 7 water by-pass hose from the EGR valve (electric EGR control valve assembly).

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 8 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 8 water by-pass hose from the EGR valve (electric EGR control valve assembly).

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. A197538

      Disconnect the electric EGR control valve connector from the EGR valve (electric EGR control valve assembly).

      Nut

      Remove the 3 bolts, 2 nuts and No. 2 EGR pipe sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 gaskets.

  7. REMOVE EGR VALVE (ELECTRIC EGR CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY)

      Remove the EGR valve (electric EGR control valve assembly) and gasket.
