WHEEL OPENING MOULDING REASSEMBLY

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL NO. 3 OPENING EXTENSION PAD

    Tip:

    When installing the front wheel No. 3 opening extension pad, heat the front fender front outside moulding LH using a heat light.

    20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    Note:

    Do not heat the front fender front outside moulding LH excessively.

    1. Clean the front fender front outside moulding LH surface.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the front fender front outside moulding LH surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front fender front outside moulding LH.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      3.0 mm (0.118 in.)

      *c

      10.0 mm (0.394 in.)

      Install a new front wheel No. 3 opening extension pad.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the front fender front outside moulding LH.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the front wheel No. 3 opening extension pad.

        Tip:

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Align the front wheel opening No. 3 extension pad with the mark-off line of the front fender front outside moulding LH, and then install it.

        Tip:

        Press the front wheel No. 3 opening extension pad firmly to install it.

  2. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL NO. 5 OPENING EXTENSION PAD

    Tip:

    When installing the front wheel No. 5 opening extension pad, heat the front fender front outside moulding LH using a heat light.

    Note:

    Do not heat the front fender front outside moulding LH excessively.

    1. Clean the front fender front outside moulding LH surface.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the front fender front outside moulding LH surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front fender front outside moulding LH.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      Install a new front wheel No. 5 opening extension pad.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the front fender front outside moulding LH.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the front wheel No. 5 opening extension pad.

        Tip:

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Align the front wheel opening No. 5 extension pad with the mark-off line of the front fender front outside moulding LH, and then install it.

        Tip:

        Press the front wheel No. 5 opening extension pad firmly to install it.

  3. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL NO. 1 OPENING EXTENSION PAD

    Tip:

    When installing the front wheel No. 1 opening extension pad, heat the front fender front outside moulding LH using a heat light.

      Install a new front wheel No. 1 opening extension pad.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the front fender front outside moulding LH.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the front wheel No. 1 opening extension pad.

        Tip:

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the front wheel No. 1 opening extension pad.

        Tip:

        Press the front wheel No. 1 opening extension pad firmly to install it.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 BODY OUTSIDE MOULDING PAD

    Tip:

    When installing the No. 1 body outside moulding pad, heat the center quarter outside moulding LH using a heat light.

    1. Clean the center quarter outside moulding LH surface.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the center quarter outside moulding LH surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the center quarter outside moulding LH.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      3. Install the No. 1 body outside moulding pad.

        Tip:

        Press the No. 1 body outside moulding pad firmly to install it.

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 BODY OUTSIDE MOULDING PAD

    Tip:

    When installing the No. 2 body outside moulding pad, heat the center quarter outside moulding LH using a heat light.

  6. INSTALL NO. 3 BODY OUTSIDE MOULDING PAD

    Tip:

    When installing the No. 3 body outside moulding pad, heat the center quarter outside moulding LH using a heat light.

      Install a new No. 3 body outside moulding pad.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the center quarter outside moulding LH.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 3 body outside moulding pad.

        Tip:

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the No. 3 body outside moulding pad.

        Tip:

        Press the No. 3 body outside moulding pad firmly to install it.
