FUEL INJECTOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

   1. Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to new O-rings, and then install one onto each fuel injector assembly.

   2. 

      Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil where the fuel delivery pipe contacts each O-ring.

   3. 

      Install the 3 fuel injector assemblies to the fuel delivery pipe as shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      • Do not damage the fuel injector assembly or O-ring.

      • Do not twist the O-ring.

      • After installing each fuel injector assembly, check that it turns smoothly. If not, replace the O-ring with a new one.

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure to install the other fuel injector assemblies.

   4. 

      Install the 3 No. 1 fuel injector holder as shown in the illustration.

7. CONNECT VACUUM HOSE ASSEMBLY

8. INSTALL NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (PURGE VSV)

17. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
