OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR DISASSEMBLY

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  2. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER LH

    Click here

  3. REMOVE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  4. REMOVE SIDE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System)

  5. REMOVE LOWER OUTER MIRROR COVER LH (w/ Power Retract Mirror)

      Tape

      Remove the tape.

      Detach the 5 guides.

    3. B340668

      Detach the 5 claws to remove the lower outer mirror cover LH.

  6. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR LH (w/ Power Retract Mirror)

      Cut the harness sub-assembly here

      Cut the harness sub-assembly at the position shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      Make sure to replace the harness sub-assembly with a new one.

      Remove the gasket sub-assembly from the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.

      Note:

      Make sure to replace the "TORX" screws with new ones.

      Remove the 2 screws and frame sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Disconnect the connector.

    6. Remove the harness sub-assembly from the frame sub-assembly.

      Remove the 4 screws and support.
